The Corridor People is a British television series produced by Granada Television for the ITV network in 1966, devised and written by Edward Boyd.A surreal black-and-white detective series, The Corridor People pitched security agent Kronk against exotic villainess Syrie Van Epp over the course of four episodes.

Nicola is a 6-year-old boy who lives with his family in an old apartment divided in two by a long corridor. His parents' relationship is slowly falling apart, as money is running low and love is fading. To escape the violence, Nicola hides himself in the fantasy world of his toy soldiers. But as the tension increases day after day, the young boy begins to see the corridor slowly turning into a war trench and getting to the front door is no longer a matter of going to school, but the only way to survive.

A newly graduated doctor finds trauma too heavy in everyday work of the hospital. He is constantly facing new demands which ultimately threatens to overpower him. He is about to give up his career.idoren

This uncompleted film uses a technique invented by McLaren in the 1930s; the travelling zoom. McLaren's intention was to make the corridor gradually disappear so that the viewer's initial imprisonment would give way to the freedom of infinite space.

"Friday, 9th August 1963 Cast and crew members prepare for the recording of a new BBC TV series..." In a corridor outside of Studio D, a reporter asks a script writer how he sees his new programme, "Doc' True", which he describes as "like nothing you've ever seen before", only to be interrupted by an actor dressed as a medical doctor describing it as a "British Doctor Kildare, only much more real". He is then interrupted himself by an actor dressed as a caveman. When the writer takes the 'doctor' aside, the reporter then bumps into someone looking for the designer, before heading over to "Verity Lamberth" and "Sydney Newbaum", who explains there will be no "bug-eyed monsters" in the show, as someone wheels a Dalek between them.

Intended for school leavers, the promotional film shows the vast range and variety of jobs available within the British Civil Service, highlighting the ways in which civil servants help individuals, the community in general and Parliament.
